Interior lighting. How to choose the right light fixture?

We distinguish the basic categories of lights according to installation; on the ceiling, on the wall, recessed, as a pendent, or as simple standing floor or table lamps.
Depending on the application, the lights can be further divided into kitchen, bathroom, commercial, work lamps, interior or exterior - garden.

Ceiling: for illuminating corridors, bathrooms, sanitary facilities, halls, utility rooms, commercial premises

When we open the front door, we need to light up the space to get a quick orientation.
Therefore, we install high-power central lighting in the hall, or in a hall without windows, which we attach to the ceiling. It doesn't have to be striking in color, performance is the priority. The choice of shape and material depends on our taste, but it is important that the light diffuses well. It is therefore clever to choose new generations of LEDs that are the most economical. The cost of such is slightly higher, but it pays off. Multiple spotlights on one base are things of the past now, as well as fluorescent lights which used to be installed in hallways.

Pendents: hall lighting, living room lighting, central areas, high ceilings, office lighting, staircase lighting, children's room lighting
Pendent lights fit into a larger space, ideal for creative ideas, to conjure up an intimate atmosphere. Usually in a living room or large hall, we don't want just one central light in the ceiling. On the contrary, we strive for more lights for different lighting and the central pendent is then more interior decoration than just light. The color, shape or structure of the fabric plays a key role here, depending on the style you choose:
classic white spheres, colored glass shades, plastic cut-outs, chandeliers with beads in a classic style or simple textile shades. Current trends are natural materials such as wicker, bast, reed - or inspiration from the Orient.

Wall: bathrooms, bedrooms, bars and commercial premises
Wall-mounted lights are suitable for multiple applications - either spotlights to illuminate something or indirect lighting, which in turn directs the light upwards, scatters and creates subtle lighting in the room. In the living room, we can efficiently illuminate a picture, a sculpture or a small statue using spotlights, and illuminate a mirror in the bathroom. Indirect lighting is suitable for the wall in the bedroom or in the dining room as an additional light to the pendent above the table.
